How it works...
A consultation will take approximately 90 minutes. Prior to the consultation, I will take a full history of the horse, your activities and aspirations and details of any issues you are experiencing.
The consultation will start with a full assessment of your horse's head and oral anatomy (visually and by gentle palpation) in the stable without a bridle followed by an assessment the horse's current bridle & bit.
This will be followed by the ridden assessment, during which we will make changes to bridle and bit based upon both the information gleaned during the stable assessment and the horse's way of going.
Your feedback, and your horse's feedback, will determine the most suitable combination of bit & bridle.
Requirements
A stable, or safe enclosed space, for the initial assessment
An arena, or area suitable & safe for the ridden assessment.
Cost
The cost is £60 for a consultation, £55 if multiple horses at one yard. There may be an additional fee to cover mileage which will be advised at the time of booking.
Bits & Bridles
I carry a selection of BD legal bits to try at the consultation, as well as various bridle components.
I am completely independent and not affiliated to any manufacturer or brand - recommendations are made solely on what is best for the horse.
After the consultation, I will provide written details of recommended bit & bridle type & sizes. You are free to buy from anywhere.
